Selling signed copies direct

Signed copies, without the spreadsheet.

Coming. Parts of this page describe features we are still building. Each one is marked.

Readers love a signed copy, and selling them direct is how most authors do it. You can already add a signed copy as its own edition and sell it from the stock you hold. Personal inscriptions, where readers type who the book is for, and a signing queue that lists what to sign and for whom, are coming.

How it works in Lanternbee

  1. List it as its own edition

Today, add a signed copy to the book. Signed copies always come from your own stock.

  2. Coming, take inscriptions

Readers type a short message for the inscription when they add the book to their cart.

  3. Coming, sign from the queue

The signing queue lists each copy to sign and what to write. Mark each one as signed.

  4. Coming, pack and post

Print packing slips and post the copies.
