Payments and payouts
Connect your own Stripe account
How payments will work. You connect your own Stripe account, you are the seller, and readers pay you. Coming before stores open.
Coming. Connecting Stripe is not in the app yet. It arrives with payments, before stores open to readers. This page explains how it will work, so you can get ready.
You are the seller
Each author connects their own Stripe account. Readers pay you, not Lanternbee. Your name is on the sale, and the money goes to your Stripe balance.
Get ready now
If you don’t have a Stripe account yet, you can open one at stripe.com. Stripe asks for details about you or your business and your bank account. Having that done means you can start selling as soon as payments arrive.
What Lanternbee takes
- On the Author plan, nothing. No fee on your sales.
- On the Free plan, a small fee on each sale, and nothing when you don’t sell. See plans and fees.
Stripe charges its own processing fee on each payment. That fee is set by Stripe, not by us, and depends on your country and the card.
What is still to come
- Connecting your Stripe account from Store settings.
- Seeing your payouts in Lanternbee.
- Refunds from the order page. The order page already says “Refunds arrive with payments.”
